From comedy to romance and from thriller to horror, novels complete one’s book shelves

These books are now available in every possible genre.

Novels have survived a battle with plays and dramas and now fighting a battle with movies as a form of entertainment.

Novels usually are long stories narrating characters and events.

Novels are interesting and so is their history.

The history of Novels can be traced back to Japan, as many writers started writing and narrating stories Yet it is said that novel have their roots in England and France.

The form of entertainment was divided among classes and when the need arises, Novels became as a form of entertainment for the nobel classes.

Beginning with 17th  Century, Novel took over to the masses and now have evolved into paperback and kindle versions for the readers.

Why Novels Matters even in this era ?

Novels are a form of artistic and historical accounts of a particular era.

The writings done by many writers were seen as a revolution itself.

Many writers took it to themselves to aware the masses about various social and political events.

Novels are a record, story of a particular era. They carry history, thought processes and social systems within themselves.

For example- Khushwant Singh’s “Train to Pakistan” describes the scenario of Partition.

Ismat Chugtai’s  “Touch me not” talks about the way remarriages and patriarchy worked during her times.

When I first read a novel, it took me to the social setting of that era in my mind. I decided that one day, I will write something covering incidents of my era for the next generations.

Writing a literary piece itself is a challenge. Reading one is a pleasure. Novels emerged as a means of entertainment to serve the rich and later, they began to be circulated among the masses for awareness.

I write about things close to my heart and I share a few of them through my books. Every author shares a tiny part of them when they write a novel or a book. My first novel will make you understand many things about love and marriages which are experienced by me through observation or otherwise.

The key to writing a good novel remains in the hands of the author.  When you will read my book, you will read some sentences said to me throughout my life as an asexual. When you will read my book, you might wonder why such marriages are happening in our society.
